Another happy day for the Android and iPhone users today, as we receive a positive news about the awaiting BBM app.
BBM for Android and iPhone release date is set for this weekend. BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) is expected to make its debut on Android and iPhone devices this weekend, as the firm fights to retain its customer base by opening up the software to a wider group of users.
The beleaguered smartphone maker announced yesterday that Android users will be able to download the app on "Saturday", but iPhone fans will have to wait until "Sunday" to get access to the messaging service.
Reports had previously suggested that BlackBerry was gunning for a summer launch, for both Apple and Android, but this failed to materialize.Pictures and videos have been doing the rounds on the web showcasing a beta version of BBM on handsets. The app is expected to have many of the features that are on BlackBerry devices. This includes the ability to send text and voice messages, It also lets users share files, images and supports group chats with up to 30 people.
The apps is said to be free for download at various app store.
But before we get too excited, BBM is not for all version of Android/IOS.
