How to Download/Install Windows 10 Installation Files Officially

The new Windows 10 is no more a news but the news now is how to download/install it on your PC, Microsoft's Windows 10 upgrade has been rolled out to millions of PCs worldwide. First report from Microsoft says 14 million machines are now running Windows 10, but a lot of others are yet to get the OS because they have to wait for upgrade notification. But don't be among cause you can easily skip the notification and get your Windows 10 in no time.

To get started, follow below steps..

Step 1: - Firstly, backup all your files and data just in case.

Step 2: - Download your system version installation tool.

If you're on a 32-bit version of Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 then download the 32-bit tool, and if you're using a 64-bit version then download the 64-bit tool.
(check your Windows version by right clicking on My Computer or This PC in File Explorer and going to properties, and it will be listed under system type.)

Step 3: - Open the tool you just download now, and you will something like below image.

Step 4a: - Choose upgrade your PC now option. Windows 10 will start downloading and once it's ready you'll be presented with three options:
1: keep personal files and apps, (Select this option to ensure your PC upgrades and you keep your files and applications.)
2: keep personal files only, (Select this option for your PC upgrades and you keep your personal files only.)
3: keep nothing. (Select this option to ensure your PC upgrades and you keep nothing on your PC.)

Once you choose one, Windows 10 will start installing and after a few reboots and customizations you'll be upgraded.

Step 4b: - If you choose Create installation media for another PC, the next screen will ask you to choose your 3 options
1: Language,
2: Windows Type E.g Windows 10 Home, Windows 10 Pro e.t.c.
3: Your System Bit Version. e.g 32 bit, 64 bit. you can choose both too.

Once you are done, click on Next, you will be ask to choose the type you want within Installation via USB and IOS download, choose the one you prefer and click Next to begin downloading.

NOTE: - If you install Windows 10 and decide you want to go back to Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 then you can safely restore by going to settings > update & security > and choose the option to go back to Windows 7 or Windows 8.1.
