An error page is a common page on all blog/website which blog owners can hardly control it, when you visit a dead or broken link of a site, your browser won't be able to fetch the page (contents) for you cause that page is no longer in existence on that site. This is when you will get an HTTP 404 Error Page, that is page is no more existing.

Instead of leaving the error page just like that, Google allows you to customise the 404 error page of your blog, this also help with your blog traffic.

Straight to the point, Below is How to Customise Your Blogger Blog 404 Error Page

==> Login to blogger and click on your Blog name.

==> At the Dashboard, Go to Settings >> Search preferences and Click on "Edit" option in front of "Custom Page Not Found".

==> When the box show up, type in anything you want into the box, make it short and simple. The maximum of characters to use is 10k.

For those that don't have idea of what to use in the box, feel free to choose from below.

1:- Hi, you just enter a dead/broken page. The URL you requested was not found. Please go to home page.

2:- Whoops! We don't know why, but it looks like you just mistyped the URL or click on an dead/broken link. The URL you want is no more existing. Please go back to home page.

NOTE:- Change YOUR BLOG URL HERE (only) at above to your Blog URL, with http:// in front of your URL. E.g. naijtech.

For people asking about the one am using presently, here is it below.

404 Error - Page Not Found
Whoops! We don't know what went wrong but It looks like you just mistyped the url or you probably clicked a broken/dead link. We can't find the URL that you are looking for. Please go to home page.Sorry about that..
