I was given a correction on the post about getting a safetoken, Verve card token is not like Mastercard, you can get the token done by yourself.
Meaning of Safetoken:-
Interswitch Safetoken Service is a system that generates a 6-8 digit One-Time-Password (OTP) whenever a transaction is made via the Interswitch Web Payment Platform.
Like I said yesterday, before you can make an online transactions, you must register your safetoken first which will enables you to carry out transactions on any website that use Interswitch Payment gateway using a One Time Password (OTP) as a second level authentication process after you have input your Card Number, PIN and CVV2 code correctly.
How to get yourself a safetoken:-
To activate a safetoken to your card, go to the nearest ATM bot to you and follow below steps:
==> After inserting your card, Input your 4-digit PIN and press Enter
==> Select your account type (Savings or Current)
==> Select the 'Quickteller' option from the ATM bot screen
==> Choose the "Pay Bills" option at the Quickteller menu list on the ATM screen
==> Select "Others" for the bill payment menu option list
==> Enter "322222" as the Biller Code
==> Enter your Phone Number as the Customer Reference Number and click "Accept or Proceed"
==> You will get a display "Do you want to make this payment?" Amount Due:N1. (Leave the Amount to pay, Don't edit it)
==> Click on "Pay amount due", After that, You should get a confirmation page indicating the registration was successful done.
That is all.
When ever you want to make any payment transaction online, once you input your Card number, PIN and the CVV2, click on proceed. You will be ask to input the "OTP code", the code will be send to your "Mobile phone" as a text. You can also generate the "OTP code" using the "Quickteller mobile app" only If you add your verve card to the App.
