I saw this post at Ogbongblog, I decided to share it here. All Nigerians that understand online payment and transaction always go for Mastercard which we all open account at GTBank. The truth is that Verve card is also one of the best when it comes to online transaction, according to Jide Ogunsanya of Ogbongeblog, he said "Verve card is a chip+pin enabled multipurpose payment card that gives you online-realtime access to your funds".
Verve card is issued by some of banks in Nigerian, its powered by InterSwitch. He also gives the different types of Verve cards which are:
==>Verve PrePaid.
==>Verve Payday.
==>Verve debit card.
Verve card can also be use for so many things like,
==> Withdraw cash from ATMs with Verve, InterSwitch or Quickteller Logos.
==> Online transactions payments.
==> Transfer money to other bank accounts using the Quickteller app.
==> Pay bills and purchase airtime at ATMs, Etc.
So if you don't know of any bank that issue Verve card, scroll through the list of Banks below and you might find the nearest one to your area.
Nigerian Banks that currently issue Verve cards are:-
1. Access Bank Plc.
2. First Bank Plc.
3. Ecobank Plc.
4. UBA.
5. Union Bank Plc.
6. Skye Bank Plc.
7. FCMB.
8. Keystone Bank.
9. Wema Bank Plc.
10. Sterling Bank Plc.
11. Unity Bank Plc.
12. Fidelity Bank Plc.
13. Mainstreet Bank Limited.
14. Enterprise Bank Limited.
15. Heritage bank Limited.
16. Jaiz Bank.
Walk into any of the bank above that is close to your area or base on your choice to request for a Verve card.
Once your verve card was issued, activate it at the ATM machine by changing the Card PIN. Once activated, you can now start using it for your transactions.
NOTE:- Before you can use your card to make payments online, you must first register the Verve card for safetoken service. Price may varies at each Banks but normally below N5,000.
The best option is to ask for the price at the same bank that issue your Verve card.
