Nokia Lumia is in town and is the most marketed Nokia phone now in Nigeria.
Well, MTN & Airtel Nigeria is making an offer to people who would want
to upgrade their phones to the Nokia Lumia phone.
The Nokia Lumia series is the latest series of Nokia phones in Nigeria
and it's a smartphone that works quite fast and powered by Windows
mobile. It has a powerful 5mp camera that is good to capturing hd
videos and pictures. It can browse the web, play mp3s and mp4s as well
as supports wireless charging.
How this works is that you simply bring your old phone and together
with the battery charger and then you'd get a new Nokia Lumia with a
discount off it's original cost.
What is basically requires is for subscribers bring in their old sets
and pay and additional fee that has been discounted to get the new
Nokia Lumia phone which will be at a price that is quite lower than
what you'd find at the open market.
Want to get an upgrade?
**For Nokia Lumia 625 offers at MTN:-

the charger) and pay ₦43,000 to get the new Nokia lumia 625. Lumia 625
normally sells for ₦49,000, this means you got a discount of ₦6,000
for the device.
Also inclusive in the deal is a Nokia DC-16 power bank (portable
charger) which costs ₦4,000 and free data of up to ₦8,000 monthly in
form of 100% data bonus monthly on any plan you activate from 250mb
and above for 12 months, with this, you've saved ₦18,000 i.e. ₦6000
discount + ₦4,000 power pack + ₦8,000 free mb = ₦18,000
Below is a list of phones eligible for the swap;
* Modern blackberry device
* Htc (any htc device)
* Samsung qwerty and touch devices
* Nokia Asha devices (200, 201, 202, 203, 205, 210, 300, 302, 303,
305, 308, 501), Nokia C-series (e.g. C3), Nokia 20x series (e.g. Nokia
206, 207, 208) and Nokia 30x series (e.g. Nokia 301), Lumia Wp 7.5.
**For Nokia Lumia 520 offers at Airtel:-
You can walk into any Airtel office and swap your old Nokia phone for
a Nokia Lumia 520. You pay an "exchange" fee of N23,990 to get the new
device. A new Lumia 520 as of right now, costs N27,000 in the stores.
In essence you are actually buying a Lumia 520 for N23,900 + whatever
your phone's worth and if you are reading this right now, there is a
huge chance that the summation of that is more than what the device
costs in the open market.
To be fair to Airtel, they do state that they would sweeten the deal
with N6,000 worth of on-net minutes spread over 6 months, so I am
guessing some of the "change" from your device would be used to offset
that credit.
That's all.
So what do you think about this deal? As for me, am not thinking of
exchanging cause am already managing my Nokia 520.
Are you thinking of exchanging?
Let me hear your own view.
